There is an old expression that goes:
“When you are up to your behind in alligators, it is hard to remember that your chief objective was to drain the swamp.”
Translation: Surrounded by life’s constant problems, we become so focused on our outward situations that we completely neglect our inner strengths. We often forget we are WINNERS! RIGHTEOUS WINNERS!
Characteristics of a Righteous Winner: One who, through prayer and dedication, overcomes obstacles to achieve goals; One who lives according to their God-given purpose, One who explores and embraces their Godly dreams without fear, One who spends time evaluating each milestone of their life, good or bad, to learn from and be enhanced by its lessons…One who spends time with the Almighty God, our Creator to grow into spiritual maturity.
That’s us…or, what we are meant to be. According to the Word of God, we are created to have dominion over all the earth. We are to prosper in every area of our lives, no matter what is going on around us. In Deuteronomy 28: 13 (Amplified), it states God’s intention for who we were created to be:
“And the Lord shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you this day and are watchful to do them.”
We are created to be in the Winner’s Circle of life.
But we can’t just be in the Winner’s Circle without doing our part. Our part is to receive this promise from God. Our part is to meditate on His Word. Our part is listen to His Voice…and Our part is to allow God to execute His Will in and for our lives.
It’s a work in progress…but we can do it if we want to. And who doesn’t want to be in the Winner’s Circle?
More next post…and watch out for those dang alligators! 🙂
Blessings,
