I am from St. Louis and live in it’s suburbs. The unrest here, as it unfolds, with the killing of an unarmed man; is frightening. But…we are not to be afraid of the “terror by night or the arrow that flieth by day (Psalm 91:5).”

Our Lord has given us the answer to our troubles; the troubles that effect our personal lives, our communities, our nation, our world. It is this:
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” -2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
We are witnesses to the revealing of the darkest times our world has ever encountered. We are here for a reason, a distinct purpose. We have been given the keys to the Kingdom of God for such a time as this, Church. This is our moment to shine. This is our time to show our light. We have been called to be Sons and Daughters of God. We have been distinguished as the “salt and light” of our generation. Paul put it like this:
“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” (Romans 8:19-KJV)
It is for our “revealing” that has the whole world groaning and waiting. We are HIS…to be used for HIS GOOD PLEASURE. The power that works in us is far greater than the power that is working against us; against all of God’s creation.
Let us reflect spiritually and watch with discerning as the world’s events continue to demonstrate it’s rapid decline in morality, justice and equality…and it’s longing for us, the Sons and Daughters of the Living God.
Let’s remember our calling. When we accepted our place in the Kingdom of God we committed ourselves to HIS agenda. He calls for our prayers and intercession for our land…our homes, first; our nation and then, our world.

As you pray, in earnest and through the Holy Spirit, Who knows all things, be aware that your labor of prayer is never in vain. The Apostle James affirmed this when he wrote:
“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man (woman) availeth much.”
(James 5:16b-KJV)
Recommit to God’s agenda.
Let’s stand together and call upon God to heal our land…Pray.
Until next post…Blessings.
