Black cats. Never take the blue sock off before a game. Don’t step on that crack! Lucky charms. Good luck wishes. All things done to give us the upper hand with fate. Best believe, if these things could really guarantee prosperity, health and happiness, we’d all be wearing that blue sock. But superstition is only a method to try to foretell our future…and as much as I would like to believe we can do that, we can’t.
I wish it could all be that simple. But I have learned that life comes in the ways it will and we have to be anchored in something much stronger than superstition. I chose God as my stability and protection, and I haven’t looked back.
…but I still love little black cats.
(By the way, if you got the reference in my title to Stevie Wonder’s song…you’re a real one. 🥰)
…blessings. vw1.
