Free…to lay your troubles down.

psalm 27

Sometimes we need a minute to catch our breath in the midst of our hurry-up lives. We need a place where we can lay aside our troubles, tune into our spiritual place and sit with the Holy Spirit. In this place of connection with Him, we can reestablish our communion with God and deepen our sense of fellowship towards Him.

“One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.  For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.” Psalm 27:4, 5

In this place, where we “dwell with the Most High,” we are at liberty to drop all of our defenses and allow the Spirit of God to release His oil of refreshing  into our hurt places. In this place with Him, we are compelled to bare our silent sufferings to Him, as an offering of our submission. Surrounded by the Glory of God, we become open to His gentle pull into the warmth of His love.  In this moment we become elevated beyond our fear…we begin to come away from earthly constraints. We are no longer bound.

Dwell in the secret place
In this place of renewal, we give the Father permission to soak us in the balm of healing and restoration…our awareness is no longer motivated by things outside of our spirit as we go deeper into intimacy with God. We become recipients of a powerful newness of life.  Gratitude overtakes our being and we are lead with thanksgiving to worship.

In this place of awakening, we see our burdens become small and the vision of purpose He has for us become the beacon of light that illumines our newly restored path.  We become more in these moments in His presence than we were before.  Our heaviness has been exchanged for hope.  We no longer see our circumstances pulling us down into darkness, but now we see ourselves victorious in the battle…conquering our enemies, overcoming all the obstacles.

We become enlightened and, in being so, we understand that this is the place where He gives of Himself and we receive.  His precious gifts of deliverance and restoration are accepted in reverence and joy.  All the pain that was there in our heart before this encounter has been replaced with a magnificent peace that changes our very appearance.  We are no more burdened.  We are free in Him.

No longer called “those who mourn,” we are now ‘trees of righteousness’ because of the love our Heavenly Father pours over us.  As we move toward Him and seek His presence, He fulfills every need we have and lifts every burden.

Seek Him, worship Him, praise Him and glorify Him…and let Him pull you into His arms and cover you with His wings of safety.

beauty for ashes

“To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” Isaiah 61:3 (NKJV)

Until next post…Blessings,
