There are seasons in our journeys when we experience joy, pain, love, suffering, quiet and loss…among many other experiences.  Whatever season of our spiritual journey we are in, know that it has all come to push us into the love-filled arms of God.  It is our “secret place” in Him where we learn who we really are and what we are truly capable of in His purposes for our lives.

We ride the “waves” of life’s circumstances and situations and, through the lifting and falling of these waves, we come into our understanding of who God is…to us. The waves in our journey have the ability to dictate how we ride out our circumstances.  Will we be under our situations and have them capture us into binding, entangled events where we are lost and overwhelmed? Or, do we ride over our situations, where our identity in God elevates us so that we are in circumstances but not controlled by them?  It is always our choice to make.

Stand firm on the Word in Galatians 5:1…choose freedom. Always.

Meditate on His promise to lift us above the waves. Listen to the worship in this beautiful Bethel video and allow the Lord to release the power of His ability to lift us above the things that are trying to take us down.  Let us overcome our bondage together with Him as He unlocks the prison doors of our situations and circumstances and delivers us into freedom…a freedom we can always experience in Him.
