…finding Heaven.

Heaven is not a far away place where good people go when they die. Heaven is now. Heaven is here. It is in the encounter with the Holy Spirit in the midst of a prayer closet. It is in the warmth of a compassionate embrace with a friend who has been given a terminal diagnosis. It is seen in the eyes of the weathered saint speaking wisdom to a young missionary about to embark on a profound journey to dark lands to spread the gospel of love.

Heaven is in the smile of a first born child as it looks at the face of it’s mother and recognizes her love. Heaven is a kiss from a beloved spouse, whose touch awakens passion. Heaven is in the circle of prayer warriors united on behalf of a city in distress.

Heaven is in every beloved believer who acknowledges their dependency on the One who breathes life into every area of dryness. Heaven is the intersection between heart surrender and Holy Spirit. Heaven is true worship. It is real joy. Heaven is peace that “passes all understanding.”

We experience Heaven every time we sing praises to Abba Father. It is in these Heaven “moments” when we encounter “thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

Heaven is more than a place of eternity…it is here and now in the moments when we experience the presence of God in real, tangible ways.

Heaven is the Kingdom of God. Right here. Right now.

The Kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14:17)

Until next post…be blessed. vw1.
